Marina Kem is a director, author, and CEO of STERNTAUCHER Filmproduktion in Hamburg, Germany. For more than two decades she has been directing documentaries, portrait, and animated films, as well as science communication and change communication campaigns. Her sense for human relationships makes her films authentic, approachable, and inclusive. For sovereign and credible interviews, she has developed her own interview method, that combines journalistic rhetoric with nonverbal techniques from psychology. She studied documentary film directing at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in Ludwigsburg. Her award-winning movie "Bonne Nuit Papa" tells for the first time about the Khmer Rouge genocide from an exile perspective through the deeply moving story of her Cambodian father. She is co-author of the book: "Cambodia - A Political Reading Book".
